Ground-handling of HDM

Ground-handling of HDM.

HDM is based on Benalla Airfield and is available for hire through the Gliding Club of Victoria and Robert Dorning (see "Contact Us" for contact details).

The general conditions of hire and charges are as follows:

HDM is hired by the day, not by the hour.
HDM can be booked for weekends and hired seven days a week.
the daily hire fee is A$290.00. If you fly six days, the seventh is free.
Max Kirschner's weather exemption applies for bookings.
a minimum of 200 hours gliding experience for daily hire. Can be hired for competition by negotiation.
HDM is insured for commercial hire. Third party liability insurance is $3,000,000 per accident. The first A$250,000 is covered by the GFA scheme so non-Australians need to join the GFA.
The following insurance excesses apply:

hull - A$1000 per accident
parachute - A$120
GPS flight recorder (datalogger) - A$200
trailer - A$250
miscellaneous equipment (tail skid, battery, etc) - at cost.
